Text Message Terms
Effective date: August 9, 2026
ARMIT Company ("ARMIT," "we," "us," or "our") sends text messages to customers, to the organizations that operate a NOTIFI, and to the recipients those organizations and customers nominate. These terms explain what those messages are, how you consent to receive them, and how to stop them at any time.
1. The Programs
ARMIT operates the following text message programs. Each is separate, and you may be enrolled in one without being enrolled in another.
NOTIFI alerts. Automated alerts raised by ARMIT MAX Series devices you own or have been nominated to receive alerts for — bilge water, temperature, humidity, power and shore-power conditions — along with related device and service notifications.
Organizational NOTIFI messages. Messages composed by an authorized administrator of an organization that operates a NOTIFI — a school district, municipality, enterprise, campus, marina, church, community or property — and sent to the audiences you have subscribed to. These are written by a person, not generated automatically.
Chirp2Me field messaging. Short operational messages composed by an ARMIT or marina staff member on a handheld field device and sent to a colleague or to a contact who has consented to receive them.
2. How You Consent
We send text messages only to numbers that have been provided to us for that purpose. There are three ways a number reaches us:
You provide your own number. When you create a myARMIT account at goarmit.com/user-login, in the myARMIT mobile app, or when you create a NOTIFI account, you supply a notification phone number and affirmatively agree to receive text messages from ARMIT at that number. Agreeing to receive text messages is a separate choice and is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
You text a keyword. You text JOIN (or another published keyword) to
an organization's NOTIFI number and reply with the numbers of the lists you wish to receive.
An account holder or organization nominates you. A myARMIT account holder or an
authorized administrator of an organization may add your number as a recipient. Account holders and
organizations are required to have your permission before adding you. If you receive messages you
did not agree to, reply STOP and we will remove your number.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on the devices on your account, the organization whose lists you joined, and the conditions they report. Alert messages are sent only when a device reports a condition that meets the thresholds set for it, so there is no fixed number of messages per period. Organizational messages are sent only when an authorized administrator composes one.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier arising from messages you receive from us. Check your plan with your carrier for details. ARMIT does not charge recipients a separate fee for text messages.
5. How to Stop Messages
Reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive one confirmation that you have
been unsubscribed, and we will send no further messages to that number.
You do not need to include a device identifier, an account number, or anything else. STOP on its own is always sufficient. We also honour CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE and STOPALL.
To resume messages after unsubscribing, reply START, or update your notification
settings in the myARMIT app.
Suppression is enforced by the platform before any future message is resolved. An organization cannot re-add you by uploading a contact list.
6. How to Get Help
Reply HELP to any message from us for support contact details. You can also reach
us at support@armit.co.
7. Carriers
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and other participating carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is not guaranteed, and text messages must not be relied upon as the sole means of learning about a condition affecting property or safety.
8. Your Privacy
Phone numbers collected for these programs are used to deliver the messages described here and are not sold. Our full Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed, and material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
